Located in east central Illinois near the Indiana State line, Paris has excellent access to major mid-western markets. Chicago is a three hour drive due north. It is a three hour drive to St. Louis on 1-70, or Peoria on I-74; two hours to Indianapolis on 1-70; five to Cincinnati, and seven hours to Kansas City.


U.S. Route 150 and Illinois Route 1 through Paris connect to Interstate 74 north at Danville, IL, and to Interstate 70 just 12 miles south at Marshall, IL. Routes 16 and 133 connect to Interstate 57 just 30 miles to the west. Commercial and private vehicular traffic moves easily and quickly in and out of the city on well-maintained city, county and state highways.


Air travelers have relatively easy choices. Hulman Field serving Terre Haute is a half-hour from Paris, providing commercial and air freight services. Service is also provided at Willard Airport serving the University of Illinois and Champaign- Urbana 60 miles away.


Corporate and private aircraft are based at the Edgar County Airport just North of Paris. Charter service is available.


Local commercial taxi and limousine services are available in Paris, as well as vehicle leasing from local auto agencies.
